Gamestop Italy have leaked the price of the upcoming Nintendo handheld the New Nintendo 3DS. The system is listed at a price of €169.98, while the New Nintendo 3DS XL is listed at €199.98. Both products are available for pre-order, leading to a certainty that these are the official prices in Europe. The two colours offered are white and blue.
The price leak also leads to the possibility of an early 2015 release for the system. If the prices are legitimate, then you can bet that the price of the system in the UK will be slightly lower, if not the same.
The New Nintendo 3DS has already had a successful release in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. However, the US and Europe have not seen the system release, as Nintendo believes that the original 3DS model still has selling potential. With that being said, today in Europe a small amount of Club Nintendo members are being offered a special ambassador edition of the New Nintendo 3DS.
