The new game will see some returning series veterans, such as Kozaki Yusuke, who’s main focus will be on on art direction, and Shin Kibayashi, a novelist and comic book writer known for his Fatal Frame work.

Fire Emblem is a fantasy tactical role playing game that first debuted in 1990 on the Famicom. It is known for it’s deep character development, and it’s gameplay mechanics – such as permanent death for your party members. 2013’s Fire Emblem: Awakening was released to much critical praise, with almost all aspects of the game gaining critical acclaim.

The Nintendo Direct is happening right now, and Gamer Headlines will have all the news as it happens.
