Minecraft is reaching more and more gamers world-wide, with increased support and availability on multiple platforms. 4J Studios, the team responsible for bringing Mojang’s game to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, are hard at work on a new, major update for consoles. The update’s development is progressing nicely, and will likely land on consoles in the coming weeks. The most notable additions? Huge changes to the user-interface, an Adventure Mode (an open-world survival simulator within Minecraft), increased 4-player split-screen support and multiple bug fixes will be included in Title Update 14. DLCs for the game are also in the works, with the Playstation 3 version to receive its unique and exclusive DLC.
4J studios recently tweeted that development on the Title Update 14 for Minecraft is going well, and will be adding screenshots of the new Creative Interface and the Trading & Anvil interfaces. And so they did, as the first screenshots have been revealed:

Minecraft’s success has prompted developers to adapt the game for multiple platforms, and by now, it’s widely available on whatever platform you can imagine. There’s a PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Java, Linux, Raspberry Pi and Playstation Vita version of Minecraft already. With continuing support and development, there are no signs of stopping the block-building titan. By February 2014, more than 14 million copies of Minecraft have been sold on the PC alone. January’s Playstation Store sales have been topped by Minecraft as well. It’s amazing how fast the game evolved and how much traction it’s still pulling. With Title Update 14 rolling out soon, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 users will get that much more of a kick out of the game.
