Out of the two, Temple Run 2 has the weaker graphics and general visuals, but comes with a more appealing level design. Overall, Temple Run 2 is as addictive and fun as it is annoying. If you’re one to easily rage and get physical, you’d best avoid the game altogether, despite being a free download. It’s not relaxing per-say and you’re likely to take out your frustration on your tablet or smartphone. Subway Surfers
Subway Surfers provides a different setting but retains the original gameplay idea. You have to run as much as you can before you get caught, collecting things on the way and avoiding various obstacles. Subway Surfers has better visuals and provides some unique features that arguably make it the more interesting choice. However, Subway Surfers also exploits microtransactions more, and the game has a tendency to force you to pay for it in order to fully enjoy it. Subway Surfers is less stressful though, as you get second chances if you bump into obstacles.
Same as Temple Run 2, Subway Surfers is available as a free download on the App-Store and Google Play Store. It’s recommended for those with less patience as it’s more forgiving. Again, it doesn’t cost you anything to try it out, but if you really want the most out of Subway Surfers, be prepared to spend some cash.

Both! Since they are both free downloads, there’s nothing stopping you from trying them both out. However, if you want to limit yourself to one, Temple Run 2 is for the more patient, Subway Surfers is the obvious choice for those that want better graphics and have no tolerance for failure.
