Following the story of a recent job posting for Technical Director of a new game, developer Lionhead Studios have officially confirmed that they are working on a non-Fable game.
In an interview with Eurogamer, the studio head of Lionhead Studios John Needham stated that although the company’s main focus is the Fable franchise, they are “working on other games too.”
While currently involved with an HD remake of the first Fable game and the multiplayer-focused next-gen Fable Legends, Needham confirmed that the game “won’t be Fable-esque,” but abstained from further comment. The only current details about the confirmed title in development are from the listed job position, where it is described as “cutting edge” and a “AAA First Party production.”
The company’s list of game titles include Black & White and The Movies. However, since 2006 Lionhead Studios focused primarily on the Fable franchise. Although the studio has had mostly bad luck at E3 presentations, this year we are looking forward to seeing a different Non-Fable title announced.
