Alien: Isolation, one of the most terrifying games I’ve played, will get its first of five DLC, “Corporate Lockdown,” next week, on October 28th. Releasing for $7.99, the DLC will challenge players to compete against their friends and others for fastest times, as well as for top scores which are achieved through bonus objectives and side quests.
The downloadable content will include three survivor challenge maps, a new playable character, and new story elements showing life on the Sevastopol station in the days before the Torrens’ arrival. Corporate Lockdown will be available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The three new challenge maps that are available are called Severance, Scorched Earth and Loose Ends.
Here’s the official synopsis from Sega:
“Seegson Executive Ransome has learnt that he has been abandoned by his paymasters. Knowing that the Torrens is on the way, he decides to make his escape and hitch a ride on board, taking decoded Nostromo data with him. However, while escaping he wants to tie up a few loose ends.”
Also announced with Corporate Lockdown was the “Gauntlet Mode,” a mode in which players attempt to climb the leaderboards by finishing all 3 challenge maps in the DLC one-after-another without dying.
Corporate Lockdown is included in the season pass,, and all five DLC are reported to be released by March 2015.
