Resolution and frames per-second debates about PS4 and Xbox One remain hotter than ever. However, in a recent chat with Alien Isolation’s Gary Napper, it appeared that that scary experience won’t be any different on either current-gen platform.

Thanks to the recent debundling of Kinect and Xbox One’s subsequent 10% GPU boost, Napper says that the differences between platforms are less about power and more about the unique peripherals that each console offers. For example, PS4’s DualShock 4 features a lightbar and touchpad, while some Xbox One owners still have the option of taking advantage of Kinect features. In the man’s own words, these subtle differences allow his team to remain “agnostic” about how ports between platforms are made.

As reported back in January, Alien Isolation is set to push 1080p graphics across PS4 and Xbox One. As far as FPS is concerned, Napper didn’t go into any specific numbers yet, but did say it would be the same no matter which console you choose.

PC on the other hand, is expected to be the most premium way to enjoy Aliens. With many more options to tweak and plenty of robust graphics cards on the market, gaming computers still  best what TV-connected systems offer. Especially when you consider the game’s exceptionally terrifying Oculus Rift E3 demo, there could be a multitude of incredible Windows-related experiences ahead.

In case you forgot, Alien Isolation is set to launch on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One on October 7th.
