Alienware 14 vs the Razer Blade 14

When it comes to comparing the Alienware 14 vs. the Razer Blade 14, the differences are apparent almost immediately. Even though both systems are identical in some ways, there are striking differences in other areas. However, in order to truly understand which system is better, it is important to understand some basics about the way that each system operates. CPU, RAM and GPU are always important aspects to discuss, as is the size and resolution of the screen as well as battery life and even the size and weight of the overall laptop.

Alienware 14

The Alienware 14 is a 14 inch laptop with a screen resolution of a 1920X1080. It operates with a Core i7 CPU which operates at 2.4 GHz. Its GPU is a GeForce 765M and the system has a 750GB hard drive with an additional 256GB memory card. This provides ample storage and its 16GB SDRAM allows the system to operate quickly and efficiently, which is a very important aspect for gamers of all types. In addition, the system comes standard with Windows 7 but can be upgraded to Windows 8 based on customer requests. It has a relatively long battery life so gamers are able to operate even when the system is not plugged in for extended periods of time. However, it is a very large and cumbersome system which is easily as big as laptops that existed several years ago. It has a rather thick design and weighs more than most laptops.

Razer Blade 14

The Razer Blade 14 is a popular laptop for gaining. While it uses this same CPU and the same GPU as the Alienware 14, that is largely where the similarities end. The system does operate with the Windows 8 operating system, and it does have a 14 inch screen, but its resolution is 1600X900. It also has far less storage space available in the Alienware 14, coming in at just 128GB of storage space. When it comes to operating power, it has exactly half that of the Alienware 14 at just 8GB of SDRAM. While it is smaller and more manageable in relation to its size and weight when compared to the Alienware 14, it is not capable of outperforming the Alienware laptop. In fact, it is not capable of even coming close to outperforming it. In addition, its battery life is inferior to that of the other laptop

Summary

In a direct comparison, there really is no comparison at all. The Alienware 14 laptop is bulky and heavy, but it has the capability to outperform the Razer Blade 14 in almost every aspect. For someone that is serious about gaming, there is really no question because even though the system is bigger and more cumbersome, it is able to perform at such a superior level that it makes it worth dealing with its outdated appearance.
