Angry Birds

Normally, when a game has micro transactions, all you have to spend is a small sum of money to get to fully enjoy a game. However, with Angry Birds Go! from Rovio, things are shaping a bit different. If you want to have the very best kart equipment you will have to spend more than $100.

Angry Birds, since its release have become a huge hit. It devoured the time of every casual mobile player and set to shape a whole new gaming experience for the smartphone user. And while we saw how markets became completely flooded with Angry Birds accessories, the games themselves changed.

Riovo started using the micro transaction system, which let you spend quite a sum of money, in order for you to quickly gain the best experience you could, from the mobile applications. However, they may’ve just passed the bar with their new kart-racing game, based on the franchise Angry Birds.

While, it is normal for the game to have an option for micro transactions, it is kind of a big deal for a mobile game to let you spend more than 100$ if you want to get the biggest and the best in the beginning.

Angry Birds Go! is yet to be released, as the date for the launch is set on the December of 11th; however, in some territories, including New Zealand and Australia, you can experience the app right now and downloaded it for free.

As with most free-to-play games with micro transactions, this Angry Birds game also has two main game currencies. There are coins and sparkling gems. The first, you can easily pick up, while you are riding around in your kart; however, the second one is hard to earn in game, brings you a lot of bonuses to your kart, and not only, and is most easily acquired by purchasing through the market with real money.

If you want to fully enjoy this racing game, you have to upgrade your kart. But if you are wondering how much real money you will have to spend in order to get the most bad-ass kart of them all, in the beginning of the game, you may be left a bit surprised as the sum goes above and beyond your normal mobile game micro transactions. It is calculated, that if you don’t want to spend an eternity riding around and collecting coins, but you still want to quickly upgrade your kart, you will have to spend as much as $100 in real money.

As every free-to-play game, if you don’t want to be a big spender, you don’t need to. You can sit back, relax and let your in-game experience take you away, while you slowly build up your skills, in-game money and upgrade your karts. However, if you don’t have the time, but still want to be the best, prepare to spend big. Not only that, but when you buy Hasbro-brand toys related with Angry Birds Go! you will unlock bonus cars and game modes, which you can’t get anywhere else. Did Rovio went a bit too far, or is it a perfectly normal thing to do? You can answer that question yourself.
