Pawprint Studio has published the preview for “Departure with the Wind: Part 2,” the second half of Aniimo’s first season. The free-to-play creature-catching MMO, which launched on Steam on September 15, will go offline for regional maintenance on October 28 and 29, and the patch that follows adds 51 new Aniimo, a four-region island called Whisperwake Isles, and raises the level cap from 60 to 70. The studio laid out the full schedule and content list in a Steam announcement on October 27.

What Part 2 adds

The update adds 51 new creatures to the Idyll Continent. Four of them are season-exclusive “Prismana” Aniimo: Jeburst, Glameep, Pouchwisp, and Royalby. New Prismana forms of Gachapus, Sugartini, Jabster, and Whirlbite spawn only in specific areas of Whisperwake Isles. The update also introduces Hypnyto, a wind-element damage dealer obtained through the Companion Handbook, the dark-element Breaker Prismana Eklue, and Jaguaraun, the first “Pathfinder co-created” Aniimo and a lightning Breaker.

Whisperwake Isles has four regions, each with its own creature families and story chains. Crescent Bay holds the cliffside Mirrorsea Village, Rosy Mirelands is wetland and woodland cut through by the Sugarfish slime, Wildwater Gorge runs rapids through rock, and Cloudreach Falls hides its challenge behind a waterfall that only certain Aniimo can climb. A new story quest strands players on the isles with the creature Lyrelle and the youth Thesseo, and it unlocks only after earlier story content is finished. The island also names its resident families, and that turns the new regions into a creature-hunting checklist. The Bubbeep family drifts around Crescent Bay’s lake, the Saws and Prawnch families ride Wildwater Gorge’s rapids, and the Jeglid family waits at Cloudreach Falls.

Palworld already showed how large the audience for creature-collecting on PC is, and Aniimo competes for the same players. The 51 new creatures are permanent additions to the Idyll Continent; the four season Prismana forms are the exception, marked “season-exclusive” with a “don’t miss them” warning.

Maintenance and compensation

Because Aniimo runs three regional servers, the downtime lands on different clocks. The Europe server is offline from 22:00 UTC on October 28 to 07:00 UTC on October 29, a nine-hour window. The Americas server runs 19:00 to 03:00 at UTC-4, and APAC runs 07:00 to 15:00 at UTC+8 on October 29. The studio warns the times can shift depending on how maintenance goes, and players must restart the client afterward.

Everyone who registered before the Season 2 version update gets 500 Glimmer, Aniimo’s currency, as compensation. The handout is the same for every eligible player, whatever the actual downtime.

Growth and progression

The level cap moves in two stages, both gated behind title promotion assessments that open at level 60 through an NPC named Dr. Lewis. The “Trailblazer II” title raises the Aniimo cap from 60 to 65, and “Trailblazer III” raises both the character and Aniimo caps from 65 to 70 while adding new active skills and passive talents.

New PvP mode and season events

“Operation: Egg Heist” is a three-team competitive mode entering testing. Teams fight over a single Giga-Egg from 18:00 to 24:00 daily, and it requires character level 50 plus an Egg Heist rank. The mode strips equipment loadouts and balances deployed Aniimo stats so gear does not decide the contest. The winning team’s members each get a Giga-Egg that guarantees an Umbral Egg and has a small chance of producing a Prismana Egg. Pawprint flags the mode as “in testing” and says it will tune it based on player feedback.

The season also schedules events through December 10: the open-world racing event “Aniimo Go” from November 12, the Halloween-themed “Night Parade,” “Fantasy Resonance” introducing Jaguaraun on November 20, and “Tidal Treasures,” a 14-day login check-in. The Companion Handbook battle pass moves to a new phase with Hypnyto as the featured creature.

What is still unannounced

This post is a preview, with the full patch notes still to come. Pawprint says the list of optimization and bug fixes for Part 2, and a summary of what Part 1 already changed, “will be released later.” Egg Heist is explicitly in testing and subject to change, and the post does not say how long the season-exclusive Prismana forms will stay catchable beyond the season window.
