EA is trying to find ways to draw players to its new EA Access service by offering them some exclusive early access opportunities. But if their newly detailed Madden 15 exclusive is typical of what to expect from the service, don’t expect to see gamers flocking to the service anytime soon.
In response to a question asked on Twitter by user @KansasFF, the official EA Access had this to say about the Maddedn 15 exclusive play period.
@KansasFF EA Access memebers will have six gameplay hours with the full Madden NFL 15 game.

To call that reveal underwhemling would be an understatement. Six hours of Madden 15 exclusive play is hardly exclusive at all, more of a preview than a true early release. Not surprisingly, Madden fans were not thrilled by the news.

Perhaps to clarify and mollify fans, EA has since posted an explanation to the EA blog. EA access subscribers will have the Madden 15 exclusive five days early, but they will only be given six play hours in that period. “That’s six hours of the real game, so you can explore Franchise mode, trash talk in online multiplayer, build your dream team with Madden Ultimate Team and more,” explains the post.
So it’s six hours total over five days. For those of you good with math, that’s just over an hour of play per day, or maybe one full game per day plus franchise management (two if you set shorter quarters).
What do you think? Is six hours of play, five days early, a worthy perk for EA Access subscribers? Or would you prefer full access from day one? Let us know in the comments.
