Arma 3’s new campaign is now live

by GH Staff

Adapt, the second campaign released for Arma 3 can now be donwloaded for free by users that own the game. Bohemia released the second campaign with a new teaser trailer called, not surprisingly, Adapt.

In case you didn’t know, Arma 3 is a very well made, hyper realistic military simulator, with everything that involves. The game received mostly good or great reviews when it was launched last year, the only major problems being a general lack of content and polish. Well, Adapt aims to fix that, bringing an additional campaign with more advanced combat tactics and an improved, more dangerous AI. From parachuting in to hunting down foes during the night in a guerrilla style, Arma 3’s new campaign has it all. Here are some more details from Bohemia Interactive’s official press release:

“In the new episode, titled ‘Adapt’, players take on the role of Ben Kerry, a soldier trapped on the island of Altis following a Mediterranean flashpoint. While the first part of the campaign introduced players to Arma 3’s basic infantry combat and story, episode two opens up the military sandbox further, challenging players to adopt guerrilla tactics in the face of against a stronger, better-equipped enemy.”

The new content can be downloaded via Steam. This is the second campaign for the game, the first being ‘Survive’, a campaign released in October 2013. Arma 3 will be getting more content in the next scheduled campaign, entitled ‘Win’. Arma 3’s success lies in its huge open-world type maps, large simulated battles, weapon realism and accuracy, vehicle combat and an engine that does manage to look amazing at times (although not consistently so). Here’s some Arma 3 gameplay footage for those of you that haven’t tried the game yet.
