More Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Spin-Offs to be Developed

by GH Staff

Ubisoft has revealed plans to release more spin-offs in their newly announced Assassin’s Creed Chronicles series.

Announced back in September, details on the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity revealed the inclusion of a 2.5D platformer called Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China. Ubisoft is now confirming that future Assassin’s Creed Chronicles titles are in the works and that they will explore other areas of the Assassin’s Creed Universe:

“We really liked the side-scrolling idea, like Mark of the Ninja, and we thought it would be a really great way to explore some of the other universes we’ve created…One thing that’s really cool is that every one of the chapters of this game will be in the art style representative of that era in time. This is why Shao Jun’s game is like Chinese ink – very black and red. Once we have other characters and timeframes the art style will completely change to match that specific character.”

No other details on where or when these future spin-offs will be released were given.

The first announced title Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China will take players to 16th century China in the role of Shao Jun, an assassin who was taught by Ezio Auditore. Stealth gameplay and new assassin gear will be featured primarily in this first spin-off.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China will be included in the season pass to Assassin’s Creed Unity and will be released sometime in the near future.
