Publisher Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for its open-world title Assassin’s Creed Rogue, with the last-generation installment being released in North America today.
The 2-minute trailer centres on protagonist Shay Patrick Cormac, a former Assassin who turned his back on the Brotherhood and joined the Templars, as he makes his way through North America during the Seven Years’ War — one of significant events taking place in that time period — whilst the Creed begins to hunt him down for his betrayal.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue focuses on the doubt Shay has towards the Brotherhood’s true motives and actions, and it’s for this reason that Ubisoft released a feature on the game’s official website called “Question the Creed” last week, allowing people to relive past assassinations made by well-known Assassins — Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor) and Aveline de Grandpré — and choose whether or not it was right decision to have been made.

Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Unity, the current-generation installment, is set for release on the same day as Rogue, and Ubisoft also released a launch trailer focusing on Arno Victor Dorian, the title’s main protagonist, and also the game’s setting of the French Revolution.
Running on the AnvilNext engine, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will launch on November 13th in Europe for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, while the PC version is expected for release in 2015.
