As I’m sure many of you are aware, San Diego Comic Con is currently underway. With tons of great things to throw your money at and geek out over, its easy to get overwhelmed by the amounts of pure greatness that can be seen wandering around this con. But here’s one thing to check out, especially if you’re a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, or one for parkour.
Assassin’s Creed Unity Experience 2014
That’s right. Currently in San Diego, in addition to their booth, Ubisoft has set up a real life parkour course so that you can let out the assassin in you. Now don’t worry, you won’t be vaulting from rooftop to rooftop or eagle diving head first into a haystack. Adorning a French theme, for obvious reasons, and including a large poster of Arno, the track, while not as difficult as some of the stunts our assassin friend pull, is by no means easy.
In the Assassin’s Creed Unity Experience announcement video, you get to hear from Michael “Frosti” Zernow, Ubisoft’s first Chief Parkour Officer. His expertise in parkour is what really allows players to feel like they are soaring from building to building and taking a dive from a rooftop in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity game. He, along with his team of coaches at Tempest Freerunning, have worked with Ubisoft to design this Assassin’s Creed Unity Experience for the lucky that attend San Diego Comic Con.
So if you have plans on attending, this may be something worth checking out. And if you’re like me and a bit afraid of taking a spill on the course, don’t worry. Zernow himself will be there to talk to you, give you great parkour tips, and maybe even turn you into a master assassin. Minus the blades and killing, of course.
And if you don’t get the chance to visit, take a look at the course and hear what Zernow has to say in the following video!
