The Google Glass (Explorer Edition)
The buzz around Google Glass is indication how wearable technology will change the electronic gadget market. Samsung and Sony are already readying their own products similar to the Google Glass. Apple on the other hand has consumers waiting for the iWatch, a smart watch. Asus has also jumped into the game after it announced that they will be launching a wearable device that would fit in the smart watch category.
In November last year, Asus already alluded to the possibility that they will become a significant player in the wearable technology market. They announced that they would be unveiling new wearable devices by June this year during Computex Taipei Trade Show.
No details yet on the design and functionality of said smart watch from Asus but Asustek Chairman Jonney Shih said that it would be “feature-packed”.
