After its showing at the Computex Expo this earlier this year, Asus have been very tight-lipped indeed on when we are likely to see the Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi. It would seem that all signs point to a 2015 Release date for the T300 Chi. Since the latest leaks point to Intel’s Broadwell line of CPU’s not going to be released until the second quarter of 2015. It will be sometime before the CPU dies are making their way to manufacturers early 2015.
So its more than likely we will not see a release date announcement from Asus on the T300 Chi this year. But possibly at Computex 2015. With product availability around mid-year 2015 we imagine.
This is only logical since the new Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi is was rumored to have been running on an unconfirmed iCore CPU at Computex. Asus didn’t let anyone see the Chi’s exact specifications. It’s possible it was running a current Gen CPU or an engineering sample of an unknown Broadwell CPU. Asus have told the press it will be running a Broadwell, we can expect to see power savings, up to 30% more GPU power all on a smaller 14 nanometer process MCP (Multi-Chip package).
Broadwell is Intel’s codename for the successor to the Haswell line of CPU’s. Broardwell, like Haswell will only improve in terms of mobile performance.
If we do hear anything from Asus in regards to the Asus T300 Chi, we will keep you posted. And if your in the market for a light and thin Windows tablet hybrid this year. It’s going to be a long wait for the T300 Chi, so your best bet is to look at the Surface Pro.
