Though the Asus Zenfone 4 and Motorola Moto E are more famous in the Indian electronics market, they are still making adequate sales in the global market too. Don’t expect too much power and amazing features from these devices, though they are still very useful for all the basic requirements. Here we will make a comparison between the parts of these devices.
Design, display and size
The Zenfone 4 is a great device for those who want to buy a less budget phone. It is very colorful and is covered on the back side with plastic. The edges of this device is round in shape with a metallic band located below its screen. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is used to protect the screen from breakage. As far as its display is concerned, it has a 4 inch screen with a moderate resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and density of 233ppi. It is a light-weight gadget at 115 grams. Its dimensional measurements are 124.4x 61.4x 11.2mm.
On the other hand, Motorola’s Moto E is just a basic smartphone a moderate display screen which is protected from breakage using Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its back is curved in shape and has round shaped edges similar to Zenfone 4. Its screen size is slightly larger than Zenfone at 4.3 inches with a better resolution of 540 x960 megapixels and density of 256ppi. Moto E’s dimensional measurements read as 124.8×64.8×12.3mm. The device has more thickness and weight at 142 grams.
Hardware and OS
Both the Moto E and Asus Zenfone 4 run on the dual core Cortex-A7 processor and are clocked at 1.2GHz. The difference lies in the fact that Zenfone has the Intel Atom Z2520 processor chipset and graphics made of PowerVR SGX544MP2. On the other hand, Moto E uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor chipset and graphics of Adreno 302.
Zenfone 4 comes in various RAM capacities, such as 1GB RAM and 4GB and 8 GB of central storage. A microSD card can be utilized to expand the memory to 64GB. Moto E also comes in 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage space. It does not provide the 8GB one. Use of a microSD card can offer memory expansion up to 32GB.
Cameras
Keep your expectations low when it comes to the cameras of both of these devices as they cannot match up to the level of devices like iPhone 6 and Nexus 6. The camera resolution for these two phones are 5 megapixels. Users may be still delighted to know that Zenfone 4 offers few useful features such as autofocus, panorama and face detection. The VGA front facing camera will be particularly useful for those users who frequently perform video calls. Moto E is lacking worthy features in the camera department.
Batteries
Asus Zenfone 4 possesses a Li-Po 1200/1600 mAh battery power which has an additional option of replacement once the battery life reduces drastically. Replacement is not possible in the Moto E as its battery which has a power of 1980 mAh cannot be removed from the device.
Prices
Motorola’s Moto E is priced at $120 while the Asus Zenfone 4 is slightly costlier at $126.
