Although Nintendo has just started airing the first commercial of the new Nintendo 3DS in Japan, the company has delivered some positive breaking news for residents living in Australia and New Zealand through a Nintendo Direct. Hosted by Managing Director Tom Enoki for their first Nintendo Direct, the spokesperson has announced that the updated model for the Nintendo 3DS and XL will be available in retail stores this November. Here’s the 15 minute video:
The key focus of this video confirms the planned availability of the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL consoles from November 21st, 2014 within Australia and New Zealand. The estimated cost of these handheld gaming systems are AU$219.95 (Standard) and AU$249.95 (XL). This will be the first release of the console outside of Japan, with no plans for Europe or North America this year. However, these western audiences should see this product eventually in the nearby future.
Although the video doesn’t mention the transparent Pokemon OARS bundle, they might mention this special package in the future for these areas as well. The Nintendo 3DS release of Xenoblade Chronicles has also been confirmed and will be released for 2015.
