The launch trailer for the Batman Arkham Origins ‘Cold Cold Heart’ DLC shows Mr. Freeze turning everything to ice as Batman suits up in an all new powered suit, built to combat the cold. Batman gains new combat takedowns and the ability to heat up his fists to fight thugs and melt the ice, thanks to the unique Extreme Environment (XE) suit. The DLC will take place within locations such as Wayne Manor and GothCorp, and was intended to be a unique story arc for Mr. Freeze, a character that WB Games felt would not have fit in with the assassins of the main story. WB Games promises that this DLC will contain hours of new content, expanding the gameplay in fun new ways that the original portion of the game didn’t. Check out the new trailer below.
The Cold Cold Heart DLC is the first story DLC so far for Batman Arkham Origins, which released back in fall 2013. WB Games is continuing to support Origins with updates despite the focus of many gamers being now on Batman Arkham Knight, the next gen exclusive title developed by Rocksteady. The Xbox Spring Sale had several discounts on Batman titles including DLC for Origins. Batman Arkham Origins is out now for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with the Cold Cold Heart DLC releasing tomorrow, April 22 2014.
