Battlefield 4 – China Rising released

by GH Staff

DICE has just released the new DLC for Battlefied 4, China Rising, as well as a new patch for Battlefield 4 today. In case you’ve missed the launch trailer for China Rising, here’s the video:

While the trailer does come off as a bit stereotypical (I seriously doubt the Chinese actually have a problem with manufacturing things, as their economy is currently growing and is based on the exportation of goods), it does look darn good and promises some action-packed moments for fans.

The new DLC Expansion for Battlefield 4 brings four new maps (Silk Road, Altai Range, Guilin Peaks and Dragon Pass), new weapons, new vehicles (such as a dirt bike or a new bomber plane), as well as a new game-mode called Air Superiority, which, as the name indicates, is centered around air combat. The expansion can be downloaded by Premium Members, for no extra cost, and is available  for PC and on both the new-generation Xbox and Playstation consoles, as well as the previous platforms, Xbox 360 and Playstation. Non-premium members will have access to the new DLC in two weeks time.

That being said, the problems are also showing up with this new release, and a lot of players are reporting disconnects and server instability. DICE officials stated that they are aware of the problem, and that they are working on developing a patch, but it is unclear as of yet when these fixes will be deployed. They are assuring players that the online gameplay will return to normal parameters soon, though.

As for the patch that has been deployed today, it’s meant to fix audio bugs, blur effect bugs, and the very annoying “one-hit kill bug”. Still, unless DICE manages to quickly solve server stability issues, we’re expecting growls and anger among the fans during the next couple of days.
