Available for the Xbox One since the console’s release date, Battlefield 4’s DLC Second Assault was supposed to launch for other platforms the first days of December, 2013. However, DICE delayed the DLC without official confirmation of the actual date, because they had to deal with core game problmes. However, a supposed conversation with EA customer support representative revealed that Second Assault will be available for download on the PC in late February.
Although most of the fans don’t trust the EA customer support, the snapshot of the chat quickly spread around the web. The representative named Dhruv also stated that the DLC will be available to the Premium members two weeks earlier before it’s officially released for non-subscribers as well.
Bringing back old Battlefield 3 maps, Battlefield 4: Second Assault has been delayed because of the main core issues of the game. With their game often referred to as ‘Betafield 4’ by outraged fans, DICE are doing everything they can to fix the AAA title. Having in mind that the situation wasn’t as good when the DLC was released for the Xbox One as most of the players weren’t able to download it, one could only hope that history won’t repeat itself with the DLC’s other platform releases.
Even if the rumor is falsified, Battlefield 4: Second Assault will be released some time in the upcoming months, coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and the PC.
