The pre-alpha demo for Manchester-based third-person shooter title Beyond Flesh and Blood is now available to download.

Pixelbomb Games, developer of the upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter, confirmed in a press release that users can now head to their website and download Beyond Flesh and Blood’s demo for free. Furthermore, the company have asked participants in the demo “to screenshot their scores to be featured as the best shooters on their website.”

“We know there will be bugs…we’ve fixed as many as we can but any help would be appreciated,” says Philip Muwanga, co-project lead on Beyond Flesh and Blood. “And any high scorers too – we would very much like to feature the best demo gamers over on our website.”

Pixelbomb Games also mentioned how they won’t comment on the demo’s early access “due to a major storyline spoiler.”

Beyond Flesh and Blood’s pre-alpha demo was available for a hands-on session at the EGX convention in London earlier this year, but it was more recently showcased in front of “A jam-packed” audience at Play Expo in Manchester (which is where the studio and title are both based, by the way).

“The take-up of the demo went extremely well at Play Expo,” said Lee Blacklock, co-project lead on Beyond Flesh and Blood. “We were finally able to showcase it on a huge screen which meant that it could be seen at its very best.”

Beyond Flesh and Blood is scheduled to launch on Steam in July 2015, with the title also heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime after the release of the PC version.
