Blizzard Entertainment has declared that it will now start enforcing bans upon Heroes of the Storm players who have been repeatedly leaving matches, going away from their keyboards during matches or have been reported as a being toxic to other players.
Blizzard stepped in to make this announcement so it could share its acknowledgement of indeed being aware of those particular kinds of players, reminding all Heroes of the Storm players that the Technical Alpha of the game is currently a privilege to only a fair few, and that it is not in the spirit of the game to utilize underhanded tactics for personal gain – especially when there are still so many other players eagerly wanting to try the game out for themselves as it is.
“Going forward we will be banning Heroes game accounts for players who have been found to be repeatedly AFKing, leaving games, or determined to be toxic in Heroes of the Storm, and as we do with all Blizzard games, we will continue to monitor the game and take action as needed,” Blizzard wrote in a post on the matter via the official Heroes of the Storm website.
“As we’ve said before, playing Heroes of the Storm legitimately means participating in Battlegrounds and being kind and constructive to your fellow players,” Blizzard added. “We’re still discussing what further tools we would like to implement in order to deal with players who seek to undermine the spirit of camaraderie and gameplay, and we’ll be sure to update you when we have more information to share.“
Blizzard continued on to thank the players of the Heroes of the Storm Technical Alpha for their passion and feedback towards the game, and reassured that those who currently do not have access to the Alpha may soon have their own chance to play the game, as the developer is continually sending out invites to awaiting players on a regular basis.
