Blizzard Entertainment’s answer to the phenomenon that is League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, seems to be taking shape. It was revealed early this morning that the giant behind World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo, will be inviting a “very limited” number of players to what they have dubbed as a “technical alpha” build of the game.
Though the game is still very much in its early developmental stages, Blizzard seeking a to test its tech and infrastructure, in order to ensure that the game is firing on all cylinders upon its release. After the disaster that was the Diablo 3 launch, the company seems to be taking no chances in ensuring that their latest creation is received well by fans.
In addition, the Alpha will also allow Blizzard to take a glimpse at the common specs that a user’s machine is employing, so that the company has a better feel for the general computing capabilities of those that they are marketing to. Players who wish to participate in the Alpha should now that it is currently limited to those invited by Blizzard themselves. However, our readers should not forget to check off on the “opt-in” option on their Battle.net accounts, to be eligible for the Heroes of the Storm beta.
