Recently, Sony has made a confirmation that their upcoming next generation console won’t be supporting Bluetooth headset. Until now people thinking about purchasing playstation 4 were happy but this news hit them like a rock.
Though, playstation 4 is the latest console but this missing feature will definitely make PS lovers unhappy. A noteworthy thing is that even headsets compatible with playstation 3 will not work with this next generation console. Officials from Sony stated that there will be an update later on that addresses this problem but currently even branded Sony headset won’t work with playstation 4.
If you are like many other PS 3 users who use Bluetooth headset then bad news is that there won’t be any Bluetooth support in PS 4 and for this problem there is even no update planned. There is a rumor going around that headset with digital optical will work for game’s audio in PS 4 but for chat it won’t work unless and until an update or patch is provided.
Although, Bluetooth headset is not supported by playstation 4 but Sony stated that its headset with USB support (Pulse gaming) will be supported by console through system update. This might ease playstation lovers who are addicted of using headphones for gaming and chat.
PlayStation 4 is going to be launched in North America on 15th November and in Australia and Europe on 29th November. Though, Bluetooth headset is missing in this next generation console but still it is believed that it will represent a complete new gaming version.
