After a few failed attempts to port the Broken Sword universe into a 3D environment, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse marks the return of the series to its roots, featuring two dimensional decors, hand drawing characters and environments, and the traditional point and click game play. The actor Rolf Saxon has also returned to play the role of the main character, George Stobbart. The game was developed by Charles Cecil and his team at the Revolution Software studios. Cecil has managed to bring back some of the members of the old team that worked for the first two titles of the series. He also enlisted experienced 2D designers from Disney, DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, Universal, Sony and 20th Century Fox.
