Call of Duty has teamed up with Doritos and Mountain Dew, though this isn’t the first time
Today has seen the surprising announcement that Activision and Call of Duty has teamed up with Doritos and Mountain Dew for their new “Fuel Up for Battle” promotion.
During the “Fuel Up for Battle” promotion you’ll find special codes on select Doritos and Mountain Dew products which you can then enter into your game to unlock exclusive online content, Double XP and even Rapid Resupplies. Not only that but every time you enter the code you’ll have a chance to win a Xbox One as well, even if you entered the code into your PS4 version.
As odd as this deal sounds this isn’t the first time companies have advertised their products in games. For example Taco Bell teamed up with Uncharted 3 so players could even wear Taco Bell sponsored clothes. Another example can be seen with Prototype where they over-advertised Gamestop by littering New York City with Gamestop sign posts.
The “Fuel Up for Battle” promotion will start in the US on October 6th, but it will run in select markets around the world till February 15th. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be released on the 4th of November so get hoarding.
