Sledgehammer Games has recently announced that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare now has a brand-new sniper-focused multiplayer mode, known as “One Shot.” The new mode is, as its name suggest, exclusive to snipers. Additionally, the mode brings with it some changes to the traditional Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare online multiplayer formula in the form of reduced health, and most importantly, 5 custom classes.

According to Sledgehammer Games, each of the 5 classes was custom designed in collaboration with professional Call of Duty player Nadeshot (stylized as NaDeSHoT) to best test gamers’ sniper skills in game.

The following comes from Sledgehammer’s website:

We’re proud to announce our new team based game mode called “One Shot” – available right now. We’re also turning on Double XP this weekend (Friday, 12/26 9AM PST through Monday, 12/29 9AM PST) while playing in this new game mode. One Shot is a brand new snipers-only game mode with decreased health and highly specific classes. Each of the five classes have been custom designed by our development team and OpTic NaDeSHoT, to test the true sniper skill of Advanced Warfare in this new custom mode.”

Each of the aforementioned classes feature the MORS, which is a bolt-action railgun sniper rifle, and no secondary weapons. Each class will feature various perks, Exo abilities, and Scorestreaks. You can view the specifics below:

As a sort of celebration for the implementation of the OneShot mode into the game, Sledgehammer is currently offering a double XP weekend. However, Michael Condrey, one of the developer’s co-founders has stated that it may extend the offer due to the current connectivity issues with PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
