Call of Duty: Ghosts and Black Ops II DLC coming next Tuesday

The two most recent Call of Duty titles will both be receiving new multiplayer DLC next Tuesday on Xbox consoles, with other platforms coming later on.

Those who own Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One or Xbox 360 will have access to four new multiplayer DLC skins; each one is based on an iconic villain in the CoD franchise. Vladmir Makarov, antagonist in Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, will receive a full pack, with the Makarov Legend Pack. For $3.99, players will receive a Makarov player-skin for multiplayer, and a customized Personalization Pack. This new addition will include  a Makarov-themed weapon camo, reticle, player-card, patch and background.

While the Makarov DLC is the only one to include a Personalization Pack, the three other skins are priced at $1.99 each. The remaining three DLC skins include former leader of the Ghosts Gabriel Rorke, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare villain Irman Zakhaev, and a Hazmat Soldier from Call of Duty: Black Ops.

While the villain-themed items are exclusive to Call of Duty: Ghosts, Black Ops II will receive four new multiplayer Personalization Packs the same day. Each Pack features themed weapons, and have the following descriptions, courtesy of Activision Social Media Manager Dan Amrich:

  • Beast, which is “inspired by nature’s most lethal predators”;
  • Dead Man’s Hand, influenced by Old West gunslingers and card players;
  • Octane, which aims to please racing fans; and
  • Weaponized 115, based on the Treyarch’s epic Zombies experience, Origins

Like the villain skins for Ghosts, each Pack will cost $1.99. Again, both sets of DLC will release on March 4; while no release window has been announced, the extra content will become available on other platforms later.
