Well, the time has come: Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ final DLC titled “Nemesis” is dropping on Xbox Live tomorrow for $14.99. This marks the 4th and final DLC for the Call of Duty DLC season. Nemesis will feature four new multiplayer maps and the final episode for the Extinction saga.
The first map named “Goldrush” takes place in an abandoned gold mining complex. The map features moving mining carts that fly through the level, which warns players to be extra vigilant not to be hit by a cart or killed by an enemy riding on them. The map features a field order which allows you to call in a pack of wolves.
The second map “Subzero” takes place in a eerily abandoned Canadian submarine base. This is a small to medium sized map that features a three-lane design. The field order for the map calls out the vengeful spirits of the crew that disappeared at the base, masked by a blizzard that kills enemy players.
The third map “Dynasty” described as “one of the most beautiful maps ever designed” takes place in a Chinese village on the outskirts of a mountain. It appears to have a lot of terrain and elevation differences making for an interesting game. The field order brings back the Harrier kill streak from MW2.
The last map, “Showtime” is a remake of Shipment from Cod 4. This map has been redesigned as a “futuristic death arena” full of environmental hazards such as poison gas, auto turrets, and a fun announcer saying “People are gonna die!” The field order appears to be a killstreak slot machine activating the environmental hazards. Those who stay alive long enough will be awarded airdrop care packages.
Last but not least is the final extinction episode “Exodus”. This map allows players to choose right from the get-go how they want to escape from earth after the crippling Cryptid invasion. The map features all the Cryptids seen in past maps, as well as new weapons, and finally players will be able to take on the Ancestors, the squid-like beings that control the Cryptids.
