The latest flagship device from Samsung is their Galaxy Note 4 that just hit the stores. It is not only a very good looking device, but also very powerful. However, it is not the end all be all of the phablets since it can easily be dethroned. So to see who is up for the challenge, let’s take a look at some phones that could prove to be a big competitor for the Samsung phablet.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus

Hot off of its record-breaking release, the Apple iPhone 6 Plus is already a hit with critics and users with its new design that has quickly hopped on the phablet trend. One of the two versions of the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus provides a more powerful device much bigger than its 4.7 inch counterpart. It offers a Corning Glass Gorilla 3 (not shattered-proof) impressive 5.5 inch display that has an impressive resolution and pixel density. It operates on Apple’s A8 chipset with a 64-bit architecture under the hood. Other notable specs include the 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, and 1GB of RAM on three variants that offer 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal memory storage.

Google Nexus X

Google has also released a sizable competitor with their latest phablet built by Motorola; the Google Nexus X is a good contender. The impressive QHD 5.9 inch screen provides a fast 2.7GHz processor by Snapdragon 805 and 3GB of RAM. The camera is also better than the iPhone 6 Plus with a rear 13MP resolution and variants for internal memory storage of 16GB and 32GB.

Sony Xperia Z3

The newest Sony addition has released the Sony Xperia Z3 that provides to be a viable candidate. As it provides an impressive 1080 pixel resolution on its 5.2 inch display. A rear camera boasting 20.7MP resolutions and under the hood a Snapdragon 801 processor clocking in at 2.5GHz. It provides two variants of 16GB and 32GB of internal memory storage that operate on 3GB of RAM, and featuring the latest Android KitKat version.

LG G3

The LG G3 is also a good challenge, as it provides another QHD 5.5 inch display; that provides a fast performance with the Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GH. It offers two variants that offer 16GB of internal storage on 2GB of RAM. While the 32GB internal memory capacity runs on 3GB of RAM. It also has expandable memory options for up to 128GB with microSD card slot. It provides a rear camera with Laser AF technology and 13MP resolution for quality pictures and video.

HTC One M8

We just couldn’t leave without mentioning HTC’s One M8. While it has a smaller 5 inch screen, it has a full HD display that runs on Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, and 2GB of RAM. The one variant of 16GB of internal memory provides expandable memory options through the microSD card slot for up to 128GB of space. It provides a 4MP rear camera that uses a Ultrapixel technology and another camera in the rear, with front camera of 5MP resolution. It runs on its own HTC Sense UI, which tops the Android-based KitKat OS.
