Sony Xperia SP released way back and the recent rumors are hampering its sales. According to some columns, the latest update Android 4.4.4 kitkat won’t get updated in this phone and the users have to use the installed android software only. But there are some other ways which can be used to get the android 4.4.4 KitKat update or android 5.0 Lollipop update. The phone appeared in the market in 2014 and most of its features are out dated. But still this phone is favorite for many and so many are eagerly waiting for the next phone in the series. May be Sony also planned the same thing and to increase the sales of the next phone in the series, it might have stopped the updates for this phone. Those who had already chosen this phone can update their phone with any one of these options.
Rooting:
Rooting is an excellent method to remove the old software present in the phone to update it with new software. To do rooting of any mobile one must be a mobile technician or at least (s)he must have some experience in rooting the smart phones. You can ask any professional mobile operator to update your SP through rooting.
Illegal Updates:
Several open sources updates are available which can be used to access the updates in the SP. But these are not authenticated updates and one need to be very choosy and cautious while updating your phone in this way. As per the company instruction, SP won’t support the android update as of now but the company may release the update after Google releases the android 5.0 update to its android OS.
