[dropcap size=dropcap]T[/dropcap]he game industry is not always packed with gold. And fans of the Flatout series will definitely back us up on this statement, as their most expected video game, Next Car Game, is facing with some problems due to lack of funds.
Because nothing can be done without money, the Finnish studio BugBear Entertainment (Flatout 1, Flatout 2, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, Ridge Racer Unbounded) looks again to get the fans’ help in order to complete the development of the Next Car Game, the spiritual successor of the very beloved Flatout series.
Besides the option to preorder the Next Car Game title directly from the official site, BugBear also started a Kickstarter campaign through which the Finnish studio hopes to gather the 350,000 dollars needed to complete the PC version of the game. Moreover, in case the funds raised will exceed $ 1.5 million, BugBear guarantee that they will launch a Next Car Game version for each of the two next gen consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Along with the Kickstarter campaign, BugBear Entertainment has released a new teaser trailer for Next Car Game, a short video clip that shows us the advanced damage system implemented in the game. See the clip below:
Next Car Game is meant to be a racing game with an emphasis on the demolition derby competitions. BugBear motivated their choice by stating that at least for the moment, the video game market lacks in good titles in the Next Car Game genre and therefore, someone has to fill the gap. BugBear Entertainment expects to complete their Next Car Game project in the spring of 2014. However, a playable version will be available sooner, at the end of 2013. It will be available to those who pre-ordered the game through the official site or fans that supported the development of the game through Kickstarter.
