The latest installment in Konami’s flagship, Castlevania franchise, Lords of Shadow 2, has not even been on the scene for a week, and yet, due to the datamining of some clever gamers, hints have already been dropped toward an extensive DLC for the title, starring a long beloved character, and star of the acclaimed Playstation title, Symphony of the Night, Dracula’s own son, Alucard.
The following is the paragraph featured in the games files:
“Play as Alucard in this extensive add on for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, the immersive story is expanded further as new branches of the plot are uncovered, along with rich new environments and challenging puzzles. Fight creatures of darkness and discover the true extent of Alucard’s involvement in Dracula’s story, his deal with death and his fight against Satan. Experience a whole new aspect of the thrilling conclusion to the ‘Lords of Shadow’ saga, including some enlightening revelations!”
The existence of the DLC has previously been hinted at, due to the discovery of an aptly titled “Alucard Mode” in the game’s demo. It seems at this point, the upcoming content has all but been confirmed, and it will only be a matter of time before players are once again able to step into the shoes of one of Castlevania franchise’s most beloved characters.
