Surprise, surprise! HyperDevotion Noire Goddess Black Heart will contain new contents and features, such as the new heroines kicking butt with older and familiar characters in chibi forms?! Yes, the developers and publishers have released some screenshots about Noire and her trusty allies in this adorable state as they face random opponents in battle mode. Though the creators didn’t state or specify how many can fight at the same time, the images show the possibility of up to five characters who can enter the chaotic “grid” fight. This implemented grid system allows both the heroines and villains to roam around the entire environment unlike the traditional turn-base style where both parties are fixated in one spot.
Some of these locations might look familiar to strategy RPG fans; however, these folks need to be careful because these levels still contain hidden and unique challenges. As they encounter monsters, they will need to use skills and special moves to crush the enemies. Additionally, this upcoming video game introduces the Lily Boost System or the “peck/heart” companionship.
“If ally characters are placed adjacent to one another during battle, Lily Boost will activate when you use a Skill or a Special Move. When allies peck a friend on the cheek, the damage dealt through Skills or Special Moves increase while also decreasing the cost to use them!”
Some folks might have seen this familiar step-up in the Fire Emblem series. Regardless, the Lily Boost System can expand to support up to four allies lending their power to a friend. When a Lily Boost is activated, the player will receive Lily Points (LP)! LP is necessary to activate HDD or use special moves, but the player must spend 3o Lily Points to activate their alternative but ultimate form. By constantly using the Lily Boost among characters, the Lily Rank between characters will rise. When the Lily Rank reaches a certain threshold, sub-events may become available!
As a quick reminder, Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart is separate franchise set in the world called “Gamarket” instead of “Gamindustri”. Yet, this innovative project will arrive in North America and Europe for the PlayStation Vita in early 2015. For more information, please visit the official website.
