Chrome Combats Hijacking

by GH Staff

The biggest complaint that Google has received about their browser Chrome is hijacking. Last year, the browser was equipped with a “reset browser settings” button on the Settings page. Unfortunately, this has only stemmed the flow of complaints.

As a result, Chrome will now be prompting Windows users when the browser detected a suspicious change in the settings.

If you opt to reset the settings, the browser will be returned to its original settings. All extensions, themes, and apps you have installed will only be disabled, not uninstalled. This way, you can easily reactivate them one at a time.
