Codemasters hints at Dirt 4 and more

by GH Staff

The team at Codemasters does love to tease, and while they made no recent official announcements on what exactly they are working on, it seems they will be busy during 2014. After asking the twitter community about what fans are hoping to see from the Codemasters team this year, some new light has been shed on what they are working on. It seems it’s not one, but more racing games.

We know for a fact that Codemasters has licenses for the Grid series, as well as the Dirt series and the F1 series. Dirt Showdown launched in May 2012, so it’s safe to assume (based on the time-span) that one of their upcoming games for this year is Dirt 4. There have been rumors about Dirt 4 being under development, and this tweet more or less confirms those suspicions. A Grid sequel can also be expected, as the last Grid to be released was Grid 2 in May 2013 (Codemasters loves releasing games in May).

Console users will surely be getting a new Codemasters recing game this year, as the dev team confirmed in another tweet.

And, if this wasn’t enough indication that they are hard at work, their recent announcement of expanding their internal QA team should further strengthen the assumption that 2014 will indeed be a great year for racing game lovers out there.
