Hailo, originally a British-based business allowing people to use e-hail apps with taxi drivers, has announced a brand-new partnership with third-party publisher Sega, which will bring a Crazy Taxi-themed event for people at this year’s New York Comic Con.

Running from October 9th to October 10th, attendees at New York Comic Con have the opportunity to ride in a Crazy Taxi: City Rush cab from the Javits Center to a location of their choice. Drivers and the cabs will be based on the free-to-play title released earlier this year on iOS and Android, but you must have the Hailo app downloaded in order for one of the taxi drivers to pick you up.

“The Crazy Taxi brand is fast, fun, and energetic,” says Chris Olson, SVP of Sega Networks. “It’s a great compliment to New York Comic-Con, which has a long-standing tradition of celebrating comics, games and pop culture. Thanks in large part to our collaboration with Hailo, we’re able to give our fans a unique experience – bringing Crazy Taxi City Rush to life.”

Additionally, if you are picked up for a ride on either of these days — cabs will be roaming the area from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 9th, while 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 10th — you can enjoy a free ride in the Manhattan south of 100th St. area and win merchandise signed by former World Wrestling Entertainment star Hulk Hogan, who was recently confirmed as the latest addition to the Crazy Taxi: City Rush roster.

“We’re excited to partner with SEGA to bring the Crazy Taxi City Rush cab to life at New York Comic-Con,” said Kevin Hatfield, President of Hailo North America. “Hailing a cab with Hailo is as easy as jumping in the back of a Crazy Taxi, except the real world version of a Hailo car comes with the safety and convenience of a licensed Hailo driver requested with just 2 taps of our smartphone app.”
