After following up on an interview from eurogamer the Boss of Crytek, Cevat Yerli has finally came out to talk about the companies current position with finance and has mentioned or “not mentioned” some big game projects that may or may not be in the making.

When asked about several different game’s and series Cevat Yerli had a few things to say, however when it came to talk about Crysis 4 he was stubborn and blunt with his answers, not approving or disapproving any questions, here is what was said:

So no Crysis 4 in development right now?

Cevat Yerli: Don’t know.

You would know. No-one else would know.

Cevat Yerli: Just saying, no comment. We’re just focusing. That’s what I’m saying,

From what we can gather it appears that Crytek have at least “Considered” Crysis 4 as a possibility even though testing may not have begun yet it is clear that the Crysis series is still on their To-Do-List.

Moving onto a cult-classic “TimeSplitters” in this segment of interview Cevat Yerli openly admits to being a big fan of the games and their series and even holds high hope of development for a new TimeSplitters game in the future even going to the point of claiming that Crytek’s UK branch had planned to “Resurrect” the series before shutting down.

You sold Homefront and Crytek UK but kept hold of the Timesplitters franchise. Do you have any plans at all to do anything with Timesplitters?

I still personally love Timesplitters and there might be a good chance of something in the future. We have some creative ideas. In fact the UK operation at one point planned to resurrect Timesplitters. But that has now changed. So we will figure out something definitely for Timesplitters, but the time has not come yet.

Now for the final and most recent game on the interview list which is the (Previously) Xbox One exclusive game Ryse! Now we have heard that Ryse will be getting a PC port in the future but what about plans for Ryse 2? Well Cevat Yerli has some ideas, plans and apparent “Relationship” with Microsoft which may allow them to produce Ryse 2 for more than just the Xbox One.

We’ve heard you had the option to do Ryse 2 with Microsoft, but they wanted ownership of the IP, but you didn’t want to let it go. The collapse of that deal seems to be one of the things that sparked the financial problems Crytek has had.

Cevat Yerli: No. We have a good relationship with Microsoft. We are constantly looking at what we can do together. We are not 100 per cent happy with Xbox One sales right now. So we want to wait till the current gen and next gen catches up. For Ryse 2, we aren’t saying it’s cancelled. It’s our IP. It just has to wait for the right timing. And the right timing means higher installed base across next-gen.

Does it have to be an Xbox exclusive, or can you release it on PlayStation? Can you find another publisher, or does Microsoft have to publish it?

Cevat Yerli: No. We can do whatever we want with it with whoever we want.

Well there you have it, all though shutting down a lot of their business it is clear that Crytek are not going to leave the gaming industry any time soon, and with the way things are looking I think a lot of gamers on a variety of platforms can expect great things from Crytek in the future…
