Bandai Namco has announced an expanded Dark Souls II edition that will launch on April 3, 2015 in Europe and April 7, 2015 in North America for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Subtitled Scholar of the First Sin, it will include all three previously released DLC packs (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, Crown of the Ivory King), additional NPC characters to interact with, balance adjustments, more enemies, further detailed item descriptions and improvements on the online matchmaking side of things. Take note that existing Dark Souls II owners will receive a patch to implement all of those elements within their games.
On the other hand, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and DirectX 11 PC owners will benefit from slight technical enhancements such as upgrades to the visuals, sound and performance, while also having the maximum online players in a single session increased to six.
