A brand new patch for early access zombie survival game DayZ has been released. The patch adds new items, new mechanics, new locations, new updates to current locations and bug fixes for known issues. Patch 0.52 also adds some new mechanics and items for the festive holidays. These include, Xmas presents and new locations with a holiday theme. Other notable additions within the patch include: Long Swords, Chainsaws, Torches, Teddy Bears, Ghillie Suits and Meat Cleavers. Some of the new locations include new villages and assets. Animations have also been polished.
DayZ is still in early access and has been since its release on Steam in December 2013. The game is slowly making progress towards a full retail release on PC with a PlayStation 4 release also coming in the future.
