The release date for the upcoming game adaptation titled Dead Rising: Watchtower has been recently announced.
Dead Rising: Watchtower will be released on Friday, March 27th for Sony’s online Crackle service. The movie was also confirmed to have other digital releases and a physical one following the film’s Crackle premiere.
Dead Rising: Watchtower has been described as having drama, action, and humor all mixed into the film, along with having elements of horror in the mix as well.
Chronologically the game is set after the events of Dead Rising 2, but before the events of Dead Rising 3, and features a new cast of characters along with veteran character to the series Frank West, as played by Rob Riggle.
The film is directed by Zach Lipovsky with the script having been written by Tim Carter. Along with Rob Riggle, the cast also features Harley Morenstein, Keegan Connor Tracey, Aleks Paunovic, Jesse Metcalfe, and Dennis Haysbert.
As mentioned above, Dead Rising: Watchtower will make it’s debut on March 27th for Sony’s Crackle video service.
