Season Reorientation is live now in Delta Force, the free-to-play shooter from Team Jade and TiMi Studio Group, and the second-anniversary celebration begins September 26. The update is live on Xbox Series X|S, where the game arrived a little over a year ago.
Operations and Loadout Changes
According to Game Director Shadow Guo, two years of player feedback shaped the season, with a focus on reducing the work around each match and giving time back to players. Operations now supports cross-region matchmaking, designed to improve matchmaking efficiency while accounting for latency. The team is considering the same capability for Warfare and other modes.
A one-click loadout prepares a recommended setup for the map ahead, using the player’s stash first and purchasing what is missing. A Combat Support Fund can cover part of the difference when the Tekniq Alloy resource runs short, within a set limit. A redesigned tutorial gives new Operators a clearer start, and the G.T.I. Field Manual keeps essential information inside the game.
Maps, Companions, and Anniversary Rewards
Layali Grove 2.0 extends the map farther along its river with new places to explore, adds fishing with its own progression and map-specific catches displayed in the Collection Room aquarium, a two-player jet ski, and the new Breaking Wave bounty mission on an assault boat. Polaris Patrol returns the play-as-a-boss experience: one side takes the role of Security Director Desmoulins, linked to the armed vehicle Requin. Rewards include the DESMY-REQUIN MODEL, the game’s first craftable collectible, and Serenity, a new Legendary appearance for the M700.
Two new companions join squads: Rover can incapacitate an enemy or help an injured teammate recover with a Dart Rifle, while Clover searches the area and tracks nearby threats.
The new Warfare map, The Mog, is inspired by Black Hawk Down. It centers on a convoy escort: G.T.I. must move a convoy through checkpoints while Haavk tries to stop it. A Black Hawk squadron can join the battle overhead, with players able to deploy onto the helicopter, operate weapons, or repair it.
Anniversary rewards include daily tasks offering up to 3,900 limited-time Delta Tickets, a Legendary AUG appearance called Golden State, a second-anniversary Charm and Badge, and Secret Haavk airdrops that can drop Absolute Cinema, a limited Red collectible inspired by a community meme. The second-anniversary update follows other recent additions such as the 5v5 Detonation mode, while the rewards are part of Delta Force’s anniversary season.
Esports Roadmap
RISE Series Season 1 ended with regional titles for Dark Entities and Evil Geniuses. Season 2 is underway, and the top two teams from each region advance to the Delta Force Invitational at DreamHack Stockholm on November 27-29.
