The Destiny Beta is coming to PS3 and PS4 owners very soon while the Xbox One and Xbox 360 users have to wait another week. The first-person shooter is one of the highly anticipated games to come out this fall and Beta users are wondering what Destiny will bring to the table. With the Beta, we’re hoping for something magical.
In an article with Eurogamer, David Dague was asked quite a few questions about the game. One of them included the fact of carrying progress over. When asked about progress, Dague said “The beta is a test. It’s extremely unknown what the outcome will be.” Good answer from someone trying to keep the mystery of the game alive. Although, when Dague says that he’ll “learn how things shake out” it’s not denying the idea of keeping the beta progress alive. It could be an add on, or it could be a complete misdirection.
Dague was also asked about the improvements from the Alpha that came out on the PlayStation 4. He talked about the expansion of the story, being able to start from the beginning in the Beta as opposed to right in the middle of the story in the Alpha. They’ve taken some elements from the alpha and have put them into the Beta in order to give Alpha and Beta players a similar experience.
Although there’s no level cap limit revealed at the time, we should find out soon enough as the Destiny Beta comes out for PS3 and PS4 owners July 17th, while Xbox One and Xbox 360 will receive the beta on the 23rd. Destiny is set for a release date on September for all four consoles. There’s a lot of excitement coming up for the Destiny Beta, but we only know as much as we’re given.
