DICE’s next attempt at fixing the Battlefield 4 experience: Player Appreciation Month

by GH Staff

Desperately trying to make up for their full-of-bugs Battlefield 4, DICE will be hosting a player appreciation month event for everyone who still hasn’t given up on the franchise. Starting this Saturday, February 1, the event will focus on tightening the bond between BF4 players and DICE developers.

Everyone who logs into the game will receive a bronze or silver battlepack every day, containing various bonuses including XP Boosts, solider camos and more. The bronze battlepacks will be available during the weekdays and players who spend their weekends in the ever changing FPS experience that is Battlefield 4 will receive Silver battlepacks.

Other features of the event will be the shortcut bundles available for download during the month, which will unlock all grenades and handguns for the base game. This addition DICE brings to the table is aimed at players who haven’t been able to play as much as well as newcomers. Two additional weapon shortcuts will be available for BF4 premium subscribers, unlocking DMR’s and shotguns.

Two Double XP weekends will also be a part of Battlefield 4 Player appreciation month, one of which will be available for everyone and the other will be an added bonus to those who have a BF4 premium subscription. Community missions are also in the works and will be available, featuring a variety of challenges via which players will be able to get their hands on Gold Battlepacks.

One of the main features of Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month will be the DICE developer talks. During February, players will be able to directly communicate with the dev team at DICE sharing their opinion at what should be changed in BF4. The dev talks are aimed at increased transparency and to show that DICE is as invested in the game as the players.

The Battlefield 4 player appreciation month will end on March 6, 2014. The DICE General Manager Karl Mangus Troedsson wants to ‘thank all Battlefield 4 players with a month of givaways.’ What do you want to say to DICE? Does this month change anything?
