The Tron-esque racer Distance, developed by Refract Studios, will be launching on Steam Early Access this December 9th. Tailored to an F-Zero style of racing, Distance is a racing game that has players driving a unique car that can jump, boost, rotate or even fly around in a futuristic city. The game was previously shown at the PAX Indie Megabooth, and has been met with great praise. Nitronic Studios has also released a new 1080p 60fps trailer (use Google Chrome) showing the game’s latest beta build, including a teaser of new horror-themed content.
Currently greenlit by the Steam community, players can pre-order the public beta (Steam Early Access) release of the game at their website. The private beta currently features a short single player campaign, as well as split-screen and online multiplayer modes such as Sprint, Reverse Tag, Stunt, and Soccer. Supporting Steam Workshop, the game currently has over 150 user-created levels.
