Although most people don’t like the DLC concept, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag proves that the DLC can actually improve a game in various ways. Fans are able to experience new stories and gather new clues of the big picture puzzle that Assassin’s Creed has integrated into its storyline.

Last week we saw the first noticeable DLC released by UbiSoft for AC: Black Flag. Called Blackbeard’s Wrath the DLC was focused on the multiplayer. Today, supporters of the single player experience can enjoy the first single player DLC campaign – Freedom Cry.

Freedom Cry is focused on the story of Adewale. Born as a slave, Adewale manages to find freedom going aboard the Jackdaw and becoming a pirate. The story of the first mate of Captain Edward Kenway spreads out in nine missions and gives us the opportunity to enjoy a whole new adventure.

If you want to get your hands on this DLC you should consider getting an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass. It features not only the Freedom Cry campaign, but also a lot of new additional missions, weapons, collectibles and more. Moreover, you will get the Blackbeard’s Wrath multiplayer DLC, new characters and the exclusive Kraken ship pack. You can check out the official launch trailer right now.
