Dragon Age Inquisition has a lot of gamers excited to return to Thedas this year. The next game in Bioware’s choice-driven fantasy RPG series puts players in the role of the Inquisitor, a character tailored to the player’s preferences, as they travel across the countries of Ferelden and Orlais. This trailer mainly focuses on the Inquisitor’s exploits as they travel across Thedas; the enemies they’ll defeat, the people they’ll meet, and the feats they’ll accomplish. These scenes are accompanied by a series of dialogue lines spoken by various inhabitants of Thedas. The most interesting detail of the trailer, in my opinion, is the glimpses we get at the game’s enemy design. The Inquisitor is going to be facing off against a varied cast of adversaries, ranging from regular human enemies to dragons to monsters made of stone. While this certainly isn’t new to the Dragon Age series, it’s nice to see that Inquisition carries forward Bioware’s tradition of pitting the player against a range of wildly different enemies.
Dragon Age Inquisition comes out on November 18, 2014, and will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
