In the deal of HP and Acer with drop will be offering special discounts for its paid subscriptions to owners of PCs and Tablets. According to the head of strategic Partnerships at Dropbox, Tom Hsiesh – the details of promotion haven’t been made public yet. The company was founded in September 2008, since then the company has pursued partnerships for years with Facebook and Google. This new deal of Dropbox with HP and Acer will allow the Drop Box feature to be available for everyone, regardless of what device they are using.
According to him – the more places it is in, the more valuable it is for the users.
Presently, the company has similar kind of deals in place to preload its software applications with companies including, Dell, Samsung, Deutsche Telekom, Avast, Avira and Sony. Apart from helping Dropbox reach wider level of people these deals will also help and retains existing customers.
The Partnership with the companies such as Acer and HP will itself take Dropbox to the international level, but both the companies don’t deal with Chinese market. The aim of these kinds of deals is to reach consumer market, where they can market their services. In this era, where every company is trying to reach global, Drop Box is not an exception. Even they are trying to reach wider audiences by cracking such deals.

The company uses freemium business model, which means they are offering free accounts with some storage capacity. Then the file will be automatically uploaded to Drop box’s cloud based service and will be available to those who have Dropbox installed to their computers.
